RoboRium Sponsors Brampton's First Teen Raspberry Jam
We have sponsored a Raspberry Pi 4 Model B (4GB RAM) for giveaway at Brampton Library's first ever Teen Raspberry Jam event.
Event Details:
Teens! Learn about coding and digital making with the Raspberry Pi
A Raspberry Jam is a community event where people come together to learn about digital making with the Raspberry Pi—a versatile, credit card-sized computer.
Whether or not you have coding experience, you’re welcome to join us at this FREE, youth-focused, two-day event where we’ll learn how to program a Raspberry Pi, try out some accessories and work in teams to use the Pis to solve a problem faced by teens in Brampton.
This two-day workshop takes place Saturday, November 23 (9:30AM-4PM) & Sunday, November 24 (10AM-4PM) at Brampton Library's Springdale branch. Note that your full participation is expected for both days.
On Saturday, you will explore digital making with the Raspberry Pi computer: blinking LEDs, taking pictures, creating GUIs, making motors spin, and sensing the environment.
On Sunday, you'll take what you've learned from the previous day and collaborate with a team to design and build your own project to help solve a problem faced by teens in Brampton.
